About

Background 

Chelsey is a Registered Dietitian (RD) specializing in Oncology in New York, and is currently employed as the Clinical Nutrition Supervisor at the Blavatnik Family Medical Center (Cancer Center). She also works as a consultant for Savor Health, a digital health company focused on nutrition strategies to help patients manage side effects of cancer treatment. She has focused her education, and dedicated her career, to the field of Oncology Nutrition. Chelsey earned her B.S. in Nutrition from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She went on to complete her Dietetic Internship at Northwell Health and upon graduating, began a position at the health system’s outpatient Monter Cancer Center. Chelsey completed her M.S. in Clinical Nutrition through Stonybrook University. She maintains her certification as an oncology credentialed dietitian (CSO) which requires staying up to date on current research.

Philosophy

Chelsey is passionate about working with each of her clients to create a personalized nutrition plan to support them in their unique cancer journey. She uses information such as diagnosis, treatment modality, past medical history, blood work and many other factors when working with clients to create an individualized plan. Chelsey works with clients at all stages of their cancer journey, whether they are newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, managing a recurrence or have completed treatment. She is knowledgeable on all cancer therapies and can advise on what to expect and how to best manage nutrition during treatment.
